Watching how someone stands or sits next to a loved one, the expressions they make, the way energy flows between people, it all helps me guide my couples in the most natural, effortless way.

Lighting inspires me too: sunsets, sunlight streaming through a window, the colors in the sky, how light bounces off textures and surfaces, or reflects off certain colors - all of it completely changes the mood of a moment. I’ll admit, I get a little obsessive about it.

Movies inspire me as well. I can’t watch one without noticing the composition, the color grading, and the characters’ actions; it all sparks ideas for how I capture real-life moments. That’s why I love a documentary style of photography: capturing life as it happens, beautifully and honestly, while letting the little details shine.
